Opensubtitles must login

Hi. Any experiencing issues with opensubtitles. Just got a subtitle and it says “in order to continue opensubtitles service you need to log in”

Running up to date app 6.2.4 PRO version

Did you try a restart of the ATV?

It is also doing it on my iOS device

Just curious, what country are you in? Also have you tried changing your DNS server to Googles 8.8.8.8 or cloudflares 1.1.1.1?

Located in Australia. Just tried DNS on my iOS device and it seemed to work. Will try change router DNS when I get home and see if that fixes the issue.

Glad that seemed to help. There have been other services that have been targeted in other countries so that’s why I asked. Let us know if it works on the ATV too.

On another note, so sad to see the devastation to property and wildlife in Australia with the fires. I hope you’re not impacted directly.

Yea it’s pretty sad to see. I’m in Brisbane so not really near any fires at this stage.

Ok so at home on ATV tried changing DNS locally on device to both google and cloud flares. Didn’t work. So tried on router. Also no luck :frowning:

Sorry that didn’t work. I’m still digging around trying to figure out what could be causing that but it’s probably going to be something that Firecore will have to figure out.

Odd that it seemed to work on the iOS device. Maybe a clue there. Hopefully, James will get a chance to chime in again but with a new release imminent I’m sure he’s juggling bags of cats getting that polished up.

Just out of curiosity, if you manage to download a set of subtitles to the iOS device does it sync over to the ATV via iCloud? It’s supposed to.

We’re working with OpenSubtitles on this.

It seems they have implemented a few changes to better handle VPN traffic, but it also seems to be impacting traffic from some ISPs.

More news to come.

We believe this should be resolved.

Another round of changes have been put in.

Can you try restarting your device, and attempt to download subs to see if the issue is still present?
