Problem Statement:
Currently, there are several suggestions from various users, including my own, indicating the need for numbering on the series cover images. This feature should clarify how many episodes of a series have been uploaded and how many are still needed to complete it. While this is a useful enhancement, it remains unclear which new episodes have actually been added to the collection. Users must memorize the numbers on the covers to check if the number of available episodes has changed.
Proposal:
I recommend implementing a notification system similar to the notification feature of YouTube. The system could include a bell icon in the upper right corner of the homepage, alerting users about currently uploaded content.
Functionality:
- Notification Icon: The bell could display a number indicating the quantity of newly uploaded episodes or titles.
- Detail View: When users click on the bell, a summary will open, showing specifically which content has been newly added. For example, it might state: “Three new episodes of the series Loki.”
- Visualization: Each title could additionally show its cover image, with a number indicating the count of the currently uploaded episodes.
Advantages: - Easy Tracking: Users can see at a glance which new episodes and movies are available.
- Increased User Satisfaction: Such a system significantly enhances user experience by improving transparency and making it easier to browse the catalog.
- Clear Design: An intuitive user interface ensures a familiar and comfortable browsing experience.
Additionally, I have created a sketch that, while not professional, serves to illustrate my ideas.
