My daughter warned me of a movie (nothing special, 4k, eac3 atmos 768k) that’s silent in Infuse (works with Plex). She’s using the iPad AppeStore version, I tested with this beta on Mac and Apple TV (26 for all) [fine in vlc too].
Should I privately share the movie, run ffmpeg … or push a diag?
That wouldn’t hurt and maybe run the video through mediainfo and post the results here? Is your daughter running the Pro version? (Maybe have her double check to make sure it’s on Pro) It almost sounds like it’s a Dolby version that Infuse doesn’t support with no fall back track. VLC isn’t bound by copyrights for codecs so that may be the difference.
She is and I am. It’s a very common release. It works fine with Plex (Web & AppleTV).

We have seem some out-of-spec Atmos samples that Apple devices are not able to handle.
To workaround this you can try disabling the ‘Dolby Atmos’ option in Infuse > Settings > Audio.
Most other apps don’t actually support Atmos so that is likely why the issue doesn’t appear there.
Extracted and confirmed with QTPlayer (using AirPods). Thank you for the tip.
