SO I HAVE A
ATV GEN 2 VERSION 5.0.2 (4250)
ITUNES 11.0.1
I HAVE DOWNLOADED THE LATEST VERSION OF SEAS0NPASS …
IT DOWNLOADS THE IPSW
GOES INTO DFU MODE
OPENS ITUNES AND THEN… NOTHING!!!
I HAVE ALSO CHECKED AND THERE IS NO IPSW FILE THAT HAS A FILE NAME INCLUDING THE “_SP” TO IDENTIFY A IPSW JAILBREAK
IM STUCK I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS JAILBREAKING ANYTHING BEFORE…

Download the IPSW from here: http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/
Once it is down open Seas0nPass and hold shift and click Create IPSW. It will ask you to pick the IPSW from your local machine.

Sorry also my ATV doesnt seem to want to come out of Recovery Mode

You want to download 5.0.2.
You may have to flash the stock IPSW before flashing the jailbroken one.

I am still experiencing problems… the site only has 5.1.1 or up to 4.3.x
although some sites refer to 5.0.2 as as 5.1.1
So you are saying on the ATV2 there is no way to install the the 5.1.1 yet? Only 5.0.2? 5.2 is out already also.
5.0.2 is the latest version that supports an untethered jailbreak at the moment. If you don’t mind a tethered jailbreak you can jailbreak (assuming it is being signed still) 5.1.1.
