Hello!, Not sure if this is new with iOS 26 but, using Infuse in “Direct Mode” with Jellyfin, my “Top Shelf” on Apple Tv is empty unless a show is considered as “Watching”. Seems to me that this hasn’t always been the case & “Next Up” & “Recently “Added” used to be included. Not a huge problem but found it useful. Thanks for all the great work & consistent updates always appreciated!

I think you misread my post. This has to do with the “Top Shelf” feature on Apple TV not displaying “Recently Added & Next UP” ! I have been using Infuse for years, I do not have a problem with “Next Up” or Recently Added” being displayed on the main page of the app & have these pinned to my main page. My problem is with the “Top Shelf” which is a feature on apple TV that shows “Watching, Next Up & Recently added” above the Infuse icon. Since iOS 26 only “Watching” items are displayed. Perhaps this is a limitation of “Direct Mode” now with iOS 26 & my suggestion is to re-enable this feature
Same problem here. No recently added in top shelf. I’m on Infuse 8.4.2 and Plex in direct mode.
this was brought up a long time ago, and the dev didn’t seem that inclined to do anything about it.
my suggestion was for infuse to display both in the top shelf, as just displaying “watching” made little sense unless you had a lot of partially watched content.

wouldn’t hold your breath, there seems to be zero desire to do anything related to jellyfin direct mode. plenty of work going on doing things that will benefit very few people, but little work going on to benefit those that report long standing issues.
streamyfin are working on releasing a tvOS version of their app, so that might be where we need to go

it’s not a bug, it’s a design decision.
I brought it up a while back and there was zero inclination for it to be changed.
Jellyfin maintains 2 separate lists that Infuse can display.
Continue Watching - shows items that have begun playback, but not finished.
Next Up - shows the next episode in the series (EG you finish episode 3 and then episode 4 would appear).
Emby and Jellyfin have taken steps to merge these lists so they appear in a single Continue Watching list (which I think is the right choice). So far Jellyfin has not merged these lists, but they have shown interest in doing this at some point in the future.
In Direct Mode, Infuse aims to mirror what is shown on the server instead of modifying things and making up its own lists. Continue Watching will appear in the top row of the Infuse home screen. Next Up can be added as a secondary list somewhere else on the screen by tapping the ‘lists’ icon which appears in the top right corner of the home screen.
What about recently added in Plex Direct Mode?
no this is not a solution.
no-one is asking you to “make up lists”, simply give the user the option to display either continue watching or next up in the top row. the vast majority will want next up to be shown rather than continue watching, as 99% of the the continue watching row will be empty.
