In Emby direct mode, the “Next Episode” button sometimes doesn’t show. At this point, when I close the player and let it continue playing to the next episode, the next episode starts playing normally, but the episode summary is displayed as the filename instead of the correct summary. When I close the playback and reopen it, the episode summary displays correctly. Additionally, if I go back to the end of the previous episode, the “Next Episode” button appears, and clicking it properly jumps to the next episode with the correct episode summary. I don’t understand how the “Next Episode” button is generated in Infuse in direct mode and why it sometimes disappears. I’m sure this only happens in direct mode because I’ve never encountered it in library mode, where I’ve been using it for two years without issue.
This time I cautiously recorded the entire process and uploaded it to Infuse Dropbox.

I will provide the diagnostic code here when it happens next time.
Although Infuse 8.3.1 added the option “Option to skip to other movies and TV episodes during playback,” I am still encountering the issue I described during playback. This is quite strange. Since the newly added episode-skipping feature should already be retrieving the metadata for the next episode, could that retrieved metadata be used as a fallback?

Based on this, here is my reasoning:
In Direct Mode, when I start playback from the Home screen where the episode appears under Recently Played, Infuse may not proactively fetch the episode metadata because I did not enter the show’s detail page first. As a result, the new episode list feature added in the latest version fails to retrieve metadata for the subsequent episodes , as shown in the recording. In this state, dragging the progress bar to the end does not show the “Next Episode” button, and automatic playback to the next episode also fails to retrieve and display the episode metadata.
