so if I use Seas0nPass to jailbreak - can I manually install XBMC w/o aTV Flash? Using the instructions from xbmc.org for example.
Or do I need to wait for aTV Flash to be updated once again?

Are you talking about the new version of SeasonPass that does a tethered jailbreak of the 5.0 firmware? If so then the issue is that XBMC is not compatible with the 5.0 firmware so you will have to wait for the XBMC people to fix that. Before that fix is available installing XBMC will be pointless as it will not run.
