currently I am switching from a Synology NAS to a Ugreen NAS. In the end I will have a new NAS, new IP address, new hostname etc. with new shares. How will Infuse handle that?
I think I would need to remove the old shares and connect the new shares, but will Infuse keep track of my watched shows etc?
If your not using Library mode what are you using?
Usually the best way to maintain your history is to leave the old share active and then add the new NAS and let it fully sync. Once it’s finished you’ll have duplicates of everything but the history should be correct. Then you can delete the old NAS and the dups should disappear leaving things back to normal.
Not possible, because I only have the existing HDDs (in a RAID). I have a backup on an external USB drive. My plan is to put the existing HDDs into the new NAS, create the RAID etc. (which will delete everything) then copy back from my USB drive.
That may work just don’t delete the old share until you have the new one with files copied to it and added to infuse completely synced so you see doubles of everything.
