New jailbreaking needed when aTV iOS update?

I have the Apple updates option switched off on my jailbreaked aTV 2 (when aTV Flash installed). 

Question: does updating aTV iOS (via the aTV itself, when it proposes a new update) trigger the need of a NEW jailbreaking every time?

Yes.  It will require re-jailbreaking the aTV.

I had enough trouble with my first jailbreak, I won’t even think about updating my aTV.
