Missed business opportunity then… I am sure the new Google TV Streamer will be very popular.
Unlikely. Underpowered and takes up space other low end bottomfeeding stick capable devices do not. It’s got a 10/100 port like the 12 year old 2012 AppleTV 3rd gen. I’m not sure how 12year old hw is going to become ‘very popular’.
But as soon as Google joins the Apple ecosystem, deploys support for Appstore and Xcode, I’m sure Infuse devs will wrap in compatibility.
The ball is in Google’s court. They buy their way into default search for safari, they can buy their way into the Appstore.
Google Streamer a new gadget. It has a slightly better processor than the chromecast. And a gigabit Internet port.
But. The infuse developer is a small team. Look at how much time it takes them to develop an app for Apple gadgets. They simply won’t be able to physically have support for Android gadgets either.
The easiest option, if you want infuse, is to simply switch to Apple TV 4K. Anyway, google streamer doesn’t offer anything new compared to Apple TV 4K.
Wow, someone really has a gripe with Google…
Btw, you are wrong about the 10/100 port. It has a gigabit port…
It is sold out everywhere, so yes, I would say it is popular…
Thanks. I already have the ATV4K, but since all my other devices are part of the Google eco-system, it would be nice to have Infuse included.
