Network Mount Failed! AFP and Bonjour, Nito

I get “Network Mount Failed! AFP is not enabled or is missing essential components, Smart Installer with a 1.0 recovery dmg in ~/Documents will fix this issue” when I try to mount Over AFP.

I don’t know where my Documents folder even is on my Apple TV or, strangely, how I would get from my Mac to the Apple TV… I ran Smart Installer as-is, but no joy.

Update: I’m mounting over AFP, not SMB. So, if the updated topic with “network mount failed” was for my benefit, it’s not. :slight_smile:

Unfortunately AFP won’t be supported on most of the 1st gen AppleTVs.

You can use SMB or NFS in its place by following the steps here.
