"Netflix is currently unavailable" wtih ATV Flash and 4.4.4 (3330)

I've been getting "Netflix not available. Try again later." for weeks now.

I have a 2nd generation ATV (black) on 4.4.4 (3330). I've tried resetting my router and the ATV mutliple times, I also manually set the ATV DNS to 8.8.8.8, all to no avail. I can't even see a way to log out of Netflix and log back in. I can watch other internet streams on the ATV fine (Youtube, etc) and I can log into my Netflix accounts on other devices no problems. So the problem is definitely at/near the ATV. 

Need to update something maybe?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Only for weeks?  It's been quite a while since Netflix has been supported on 4.X firmware.  You'll need to upgrade to 5.X or newer for it to work.

Please could someone explain to a layman what needs to be done to get Netflix back on my jailbroken 2nd gen atv?

Do I need to update the atv via apple/itunes and then jail brake it again and reinstall atv flash etc?

Any help appreciated.

The best thing to do in this case is run the latest version of Seas0nPass, and re-install aTV Flash (black).

Running Seas0nPass will update the Apple TV to 5.3, and jailbreak it at the same time. No need to restore in iTunes.

I have the same problem with Netflix using ATV’s 5X…I have the most recent version of Maintenance that mentioned being untethered version (what ever that means)…so what exactly do I need to do to update to ATV 5.3 and if I have to do it by USB cable, how do I keep from losing all my Bookmarks etc.

I would really appreciate some clear instructions on how to do this with the least amount of pain.
