In order to have working Plex watchlist I have to use direct mode, in this mode I have no “Library, Playlists, Movies and Tv Shows” like on above, only My server name icon which I can use to browse it.
To have these icons back I have to turn on library mode which takes away watchlist…
What am I missing? Please tell me as I am going crazy with that.
I’m also in agreement with the craziness of the functionality here. I have family that would rather use the Plex app and deal with stutters and general horribleness rather than not be able to find their stuff.
I came here and searched for this exact problem. Very very annoying.
The colored favorite icons are part of Infuse’s library features, and these exact categories will not be available when using Direct Mode.
However, assuming you have separate libraries in Plex for Movies, TV Shows, etc… you can add your own favorites for these individual Plex libraries and they would appear with icons in the same favorites row. This can be done by browsing the Plex share through Infuse > Settings > Shares > (Plex Server Name) > Add Favorites.
Also, to get things even closer to the Infuse library icons, you can add custom artwork to these favorites so they appear to your liking by long-pressing on the favorite icon and browsing (a non-Plex network share) for the image file.
A variety of image files (including the stock Infuse icons) can be found here.
I just tried adding the artwork on the latest ATV version and it still doesn’t work for me. I posted about this months ago without any response - Favorite Artwork working correctly?
