Need help with Plex collections

I’m in need of help with collections. I’ve tried looking around the forum and elsewhere for how to do this, but I’m feeling a bit stuck. I’m on the latest AppleTV version of Infuse and I’m using a Plex library in direct mode. I think I have everything added so that I should be able to see my collections from my Plex library, but all that shows up for me is “Recently added TV Shows,” “Recently Added movies,” Watchlist, and a folder for Movies and TV shows. Surely I’m missing something; any help would be greatly appreciated! I’m attaching a couple of photos in case that is helpful for understanding my situation.

You are not alone.
I did read in another post that it requires the “Show collections and their items” to be selected within Plex rather than “Hide items that are in collections” and that does indeed seem to show collections when browsing movies within favourites. However if there’s supposed to be an availability of collections on the Home Screen then I definitely haven’t figured it out.

The ‘Collections’ item that you currently have pinned on the home screen is a feature of the Infuse Library. If you are using Direct Mode with Plex then this category will be empty, as Infuse is not scanning your Plex server into its local library.

In Direct Mode, Plex collections will be visible inline when browsing movie and TV show libraries. You can also pin specific collections to the Home Screen (this is most useful for Smart Collections).

Before these collections can appear as a pinnable item in Infuse you will need to ensure the collection is pinned to the home screen in Plex. Once this is done, then it will appear as an available list in Infuse.

You’ll be able to see your Plex collections in this list if they are enabled in the Home column in Plex settings → Libraries → Manage Recommendations:

Hey James. Not wanting to derail the ops thread, but I kind of expected this is how Plex collections would appear in Infuse. (In their own section.) Or at least an option for them to appear that way. Is there a technical reason why (in Plex) they can only be seen when browsing the movie section itself? If there is would it be possible to have an option to “hide movies that are in collections” similar to how Plex do it? And/or as work progresses on sorting and filters an option for a filter …
