Hi, I’m struggling a bit with how to manage/name source files for home videos like family vacation videos.
Every support or community post seems to be related to set ups that use Plex or JellyFin. I’m just using a normal NAS.
If I have made the following files:
Family-Holiday-France-2023-1080p.mov
Family-Holiday-France-2023-4k.mov
Family-Holiday-France-2023.nfo
Family-Holiday-France-2023.png
Family-Holiday-France-2023-fanart.png
They are in the same folder as other videos. This is the first time I’m trying multiple versions (1080p and 4k). However, these now show as two separate files without the artwork or nfo metadata.
Please help? I can’t seem to find a topic covering the precise naming schemes for all these files for Home Videos (not Hollywood movies).
Won’t fix your problem, but if you haven’t already, you should mark your directory which holds your home movies to use Local Metadata to stop Infuse trying to match them to films at themoviedb.
You can do this by browsing to the folder entry in Infuse for your home movies and then doing a long press select (assuming you are using an AppleTV) and selecting “Use Local Metadata” from the menu that pops up.
When you then go into the folder, at the top right will be the words"Local Metadata" to show this is in effect.
