Here’s my situation:
I run Infuse (paid subscription #1 ) locally on my AppleTV to connect to a my local Plex server.
A friend runs Infuse (paid subscription #2 ) remotely on his AppleTV to connect to this same Plex server.
Two paid Infuse subscriptions, one Plex server.
We’re forced to share a single Plex profile because Infuse doesn’t support multiple Plex profiles.
This is super annoying.

I have a solution for you.
Open your plex admin
Go to the spanner
Click manage library access on the left
Grant library access
Enter your friends email address
Select the libraries you want to share
Untick add to plex home
Click Send
Your friend will get an email with the shared library they need to
Open the email
Accept the invitation
Sign in or sign up for Plex
Open infuse
Remove the current Plex share
Add a new plex share
Use their plex login rather than yours
You will then have separate watch history.
Is there a similar workaround but for Emby instead of Plex? TIA
What you want is a standard feature of Plex, Emby etc. They can do multi-user pretty much from the start. But the point here is that you can’t simply switch between these different Plex, Jellyfin and Emby users. My wife, for example, has a completely different progression with series than I do. I need access to different Jellyfin accounts for this, but I don’t want to put a second Apple TV in the living room.
Best regards

His solution does work, if you use multiple profiles on the Apple TV, then you have two separate Infuses instances.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but changing profiles does not change the infuse instance for me
