don’t hold your breath 7 years and still nothing, just like fanart for different seasons I asked about years ago still nothing! I went back to Plex for this reason. seems the stuff that gets fixed in all the new updates are stuff they broke in the first place

I use the S04E07E08 scheme; but yeah, it’s only recognized as episode 7. There is no episode 8 in the list — the next item is episode 9. Though, to be fair, showing 8 would be redundant since it’d just replay the previous video (episode 7&8 combined).
Such titles might benefit from splitting using software like mkvtoolnix which takes very little time — unless a format conversion is needed that something like handbrake can facilitate.
Given that this - Have two parts of a movie (CD01 and CD02) appear as one? - is slated for upcoming, can we hope this one is too??

What does “planned” really mean? I don’t see it listed for any of the upcoming versions

Planned just means that they will work on it at some point but haven’t started yet. Once it moves to in-progress it will be coming in the near future. Not everything gets out on the roadmap during the planned stage but usually all the in-progress stuff does. Also in-progress doesn’t mean next release. It could be spread over many that include multiple months of development
Hi, Plex can recognize Part2, Part3 of an episode of a series. but Infuse doesn’t support it.
Plex is supported in this way, which may give you some reference. Such as picture, for episodes with multiple parts, Plex will only recognize it as one episode, but time is the sum of three parts, and after playing Part1, it will automatically play Part2 and Part3, but the number of episodes will still be the same

It is planned, but I wonder how Plex handles multiple descriptions and titles and multiple of every piece of metadata tbh.

Nice, that’s the solve then. Personally this phenomenon in my own collection I hardly ever experienced, and I usually don’t notice when it does cause I’m a binge watcher, but it can be disorienting and also just cool if Infuse was aware enough TV Shows to handle this edge case.
Paying attention to finer details / edge cases is my favorite kinda app. Cause I swear I’m always an edge case user. Alwaysssss.
Yeah. My kids DO care greatly about which episode to watch. If one of their favorites is hidden because there are multiple episodes in one file and infuse can’t handle this edge case, this can (and already has!!) cause(d) (a) serious meltdown. 
@SGO, U suggesting that we step over to Plex? Cuz this works for Plex but not for infuse.
No, I don’t. The question was how plex handles this issue. That’s what I answered, nothing more. I also believe there isn’t any real alternative to infuse on ATV if you want to use the latest codecs , etc.
Would be interesting to see how infuse handles the issue if one would use a media server like plex as backend, though. Might be worth a try.
