I have the most current version of the media player - 1.4-174751. I am trying to play video that was shot on a JVC HD camcorder, then imported into iMovie as .mov files. I only hear the audio but have no video playing back. Need help!

Many camcorders record at a higher frame rate than the ATV2 can handle. What frame rate is the video at?
I don’t know exactly but I think it is quite high as it is full hd. Anyway, it all makes sense. Cheers brother.
The ATV2 should be able to handle 1080p at 30fps which is the maximum a full HD movie would normally use. However some camcorders go to crazily high rates such as 60fps, and this is more than can be handled.
I checked and the frame rate shows as 29.9fps. I suspect ATV2 with 5.0 should play this but it isn’t. Perhaps it may work in 5.1?
It sounds as if this should work in the current 1.5 media player (I am assuming it is not working in this release as well even though your original message mentioned 1.4).
It might be worth raising a bug report and supplying a sample of offending video. At least that way you should either get a fix or a definitive answer as to why it does not work.

I guess you missed the video codec ‘MPEG-4’ for MOV, just download the codec from internet.
