I just subscribed to Infuse 5 Pro yesterday and in general I am pretty happy with the playback functionality on the Apple TV 4K and iPad Pro.
It’s the best video player I tested so far.
However, I am experiencing one strange issue which I seem to be unable to fix:
All my files are stored on a NAS - folders and files only, no library, because across my many hardware devices I use different kinds of video players.
I just want to access my files via regular file browsing.
I have literally hundreds of folders and sub-folders on my NAS with many video files, for example movie trailers.
One of these folders is called “HD-Trailers” and it contains many sub-folders, one folder for each movie, and these sub-folders also contain sub-folders regarding the language.
Here are two examples of the folder and file structure:
HD-Trailers
<–> Early Man
<-------->English
<-------------->Early Man (Trailer #1) [1080p].mov
<-------------->Early Man (Trailer #2) [1080p].mov
<-------->German
<-------------->Early Man (Teaser) [1080p] [German].mov
<-------------->Early Man (Trailer) [1080p] [German].mov
<–> Mission_ Impossible - Fallout
<-------->English
<-------------->Mission_ Impossible - Fallout (Big Game Spot) [1080p].mov
<-------------->Mission_ Impossible - Fallout (Trailer #1) [1080p].mov
<-------->German
<-------------->Mission_ Impossible - Fallout (Trailer #1) [1080p] [German].mp4
When I access these folders with Infuse 5 Pro I only see the following:
HD-Trailers
<–> Early Man
<-------->English
<-------------->Early Man (Trailer #1) [1080p].mov
<-------------->Early Man (Trailer #2) [1080p].mov
<-------->Early Man (Teaser) [1080p] [German].mov
<–> Mission_ Impossible - Fallout
<-------->German
<-------------->Mission_ Impossible - Fallout (Trailer #1) [1080p] [German].mp4
<-------->Mission_ Impossible - Fallout (Big Game Spot) [1080p].mov
I read in another thread, that Infuse will “flatten out” single video folders, but that does not explain - in my opinion at least - why Infuse does not show the second German trailer of “Early Man” and the second English trailer of “Mission: Impossible - Fallout” at all.
I could understand that the German of “Mission: Impossible - Fallout” would be shown one level above, as the sub-folder only contains one file, but in both examples files are missing which are in sub-folders containing two files.
This is happening to dozens of folders/files.
How can I solve this problem, for example by adding (text) files to the sub-folders?
What would such text files need to contain (structure)?
Thanks in advance for your help!
