Hi Infuse team,
I would like to report a metadata sync issue between the Apple TV client and the Mac app.
The issue is as follows:
When I match metadata for a movie on the Apple TV client, the metadata appears correctly on Apple TV. However, when I later open the Mac app and try to sync my iCloud information / media library in order to sync the metadata, sometimes the metadata does not match properly on the Mac app.
At that point, I try to manually search and match the metadata again on the Mac. The bug is that after I manually match the metadata on Mac and sync it to iCloud, the metadata for the same movie may sometimes disappear or become lost on the Apple TV client.
As a result, I often have to go through a very frustrating process:
-
Match the metadata once on Apple TV;
-
Match or fix the metadata again on Mac;
-
Go back to Apple TV and fix the lost metadata again. xd
This makes metadata syncing between different devices very unreliable. Ideally, once the metadata is matched on one device, it should sync consistently across Apple TV and Mac without requiring repeated manual fixes.
Additional information:
-
I am signed in to iCloud on Apple TV. I checked this under Settings > Accounts > iCloud.
-
iCloud Sync is enabled in Infuse.
Could you please look into this issue? It seems that manual metadata matching and iCloud sync may sometimes overwrite or remove existing metadata on another device.
Thank you.
