Metadata for TV Shows by folder structure

I have always had my tv shows sorted in folders in the following way:

––Root Folder - (called Tv Shows, but it should be what ever folder i set to contains tv shows in the media player ui)

––––How I Met Your Mother

––––––Season 1

––––––––How I Met Your Mother - S01E01

––––––––How I Met Your Mother - S01E02

––––––––How I Met Your Mother - S01E…

––––––Season 2

––––––––How I Met Your Mother - S02E01

––––––––How I Met Your Mother - S02E02

––––––––How I Met Your Mother - S02E…

––––––Season…

––––––––How I Met Your Mother - S0…E01

+1 for this. I hadn’t yet tested TV through the Media app, but this wuold really help.

This actually should be working just fine in all recent versions. Is there a specific issue you are running into?

You may check to ensure the content type for the root ‘TV Shows’ folder is set correctly.

Yes I set everything right and the metadata for every episode is correct, but I would like to have the cover image for the season on my folder containing the episodes of that season…

PI just put the cover for each season in the folder as a folder.jpg file

Gotcha. Yes, unfortunately Media Player will not fetch folder cover art right now, but this will be greatly improved once the Library View feature is complete.
