In the settings for Media player, there is a feature called Media Shelf that will display either recently added items or recently watched items. However, I’ve never seen the Media Shelf actually appear. If I want to go back and resume a movie that I’ve been watching, I have to scroll through the movie list until I find it, which is tedious and annoying.
As long as Media is located in the top row the shelf will always be visible.
Depending on your country, you may need to hide one of the stock Apple apps in order to get Media to move up. You can pick which items are hidden through the Settings > General > Parental Controls menu.
Okay, I thought the Media Shelf was inside the Media player app. The Media app is on the second row on my Apple TV so that’s why I can’t see the shelf.
