Media player won't install on v5.2

Thank you so much! Finally it works

When I enter root# Apple-TV:/ root# dpkg -i afpfs-ng_0.8.1-2p_iphoneos-arm.deb

I get an error message that no such directory exists

you don’t enter
root# Apple-TV:/ root# dpkg -i afpfs-ng_0.8.1-2p_iphoneos-arm.deb

you enter the commands after root#
dpkg -i afpfs-ng_0.8.1-2p_iphoneos-arm.deb

You should spend sometime learning about Terminal before you Brick your Apple TV.
You Tube is a good source

I managed to install the Media player by first installing all those packages manually but now the AppleTV process hangs.

I’ve tried installing ATV Flash again… no luck.

Is there some cache/settings folder I need to remove?

Here’s the syslog with Media installed(removing Media fixes the issue):

Delete all the files in /var/lib/dpkg/updates and try again !!

I had the same problem.

Go to NitoTV and remove ERICA’S UTILITIES.
Once successfully removed go back to NitoTV and REBOOT your appleTV
Once your appleTV is rebooted then run the ATVflash update again  and it should work!
