Media Player - Support for the h.264 Hi10P profile

Hi, thanks again for your great work on this package for the Apple TV.   

 

Is there any possibility of Media Player supporting the Hi10P profile for H.264/MPEG-4 AVC?  This profile adds support for up to 10 bits per sample of decoded picture precision instead of the usual 8 bits.

Hi10P has become a huge necessity in the past year, especially/mainly in the anime fansub community. It’s getting more and more difficult to find 8bit encodes of new anime shows these days. Users of aTV Flash (black) would greatly benefit from the Hi10P support on their Apple TV’s.

 

Please add support for Hi10P to aTV Flash (black).
