Mark complete season as "unwatched"

Hi,
I’ve been using Infuse for a long time now. I mainly use it from my Apple TV4K via SMB access to my Synology NAS.
For example, if I’ve watched a season, all episodes are marked “as watched”. Is there a way to mark all episodes or the entire folder as “Unwatched” again or do you actually have to do this for each episode individually?

Welcome to the forum!

You can go to the favorite that holds your tv shows and seasons

and then long press on the season folder you want to mark as un-watched.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
I don’t use favorites. When I start infuse I have my SMB-Shares from my NAS on the startscreen. I select NAS1 and I see “Series” and “Movies”. Now I select “Series” and the list appears. I select e.g. “The Blacklist” and I see the subfolders “Season 1”, “Season 2”, etc. When all episodes in all folders are watched, every episode must ste to “unwatched” manually and takes time… When I understand you correctly, there is no easier way in my situation.

Could you provide a screen cap of this screen with the seasons?

Hi,
I made a few screenshots on my Apple TV.
Here is the screenshot with the seasons (in german because I am from germany).

What I described above works when you have “List View” turned off in settings but not when you are using list view.

Have you tried Infuse with “List View” turned off? I don’t turn it on because I like the season posters instead of the computer like folders but that’s just a personal preference.

If you turn off List View then when you long press on a season you can mark the whole season as watched or unwatched.

OK. But when I turn off “List view” all episodes are in one folder. The folder “Season 1” etc. is not there. Is there another option I have to turn on or off?
In other series without season-folders there appears the same menu as in my screenshot. I can’t mark as watched or unwatched…

Could you provide a screen cap of what you’re seeing with list view turned off?
Also a screen cap of your file names and their directory?

I made a few screen caps:

  1. My Homescreen when I start infuse

2.My categories

  1. A part of my series

  2. The episodes in one folder and not in “Season 1” etc.

  3. A screenshot of the structure in Windows Explorer

Do you have all of your files set to local metadata?

Yes. All my files are set to local metadata.

Do you not want to see the artwork and show info?

Just curious as to why you’d not use that feature of Infuse.

Is online metadate the solution for my problem and I can switch the season to unwatched/watched?
I switched to local metadata because at some of my series the artwork and title were complete false and I didn’t have the time to change it manually. So I decided to change to local.

I’m not sure but that’s one difference I can see between what I have set and what you do.

When you have a TV series that isn’t correct it should only take a moment to do an edit metadata and select the correct show. The other possibility is to change the naming of the files and that’s fast too. At least faster than digging up artwork and synopsis info on line.

Thank you for your support. I solved it. I have reseted all settings and started new. I had to rename a lot of folders, series and episodes. But now I see the artwork of most of my content and I can mark a season as watched or unwatched.
Only a few folders have no picture. I have to find the right naming…
