I would like the option to put the player into an “Always on top” mode without having to use PiP. PiP is awesome but the window is only resizable to a certain size. I’d love to be able to toggle this with the main player while it is playing.

Today’s 7.4 update adds an option for this.
The option can be found in the Video section of the menu bar.
