That’s a little strange stating these are MacOS issues, I already said, none other apps have problems with PiP, these include AppleTV, Safari, Chrome, IInA, VidHub it’s really a shame.
Recently (8.3.9) I can’t even get PiP to work anymore, starting it on videos that used to work, now the PiP window just cycles about a 2-3 second clip of the video (with no sound). Closing the PiP has the same problem where the empty, black PiP window remains and can’t be closed without completely quitting Infuse (and even waiting a few seconds after that)
I’ve basically stopped using Infuse since the developers don’t give a crap about the community or the product that we paid for.
This is one of the most essential features and they’ve done nothing to try and fix it. I suggest other people look for alternatives because after almost half a year, it’s clear that they couldn’t care less about fixing it.
I have a feeling it’s all about the user base that’s using the feature. We’re too small of a group it seems. The worst part is I paid a really big amount of money for this app and it just shows how much Firecore cares for its paying users.
Every time I see an update for Infuse, I assume this must have been fixed, but alas…
The feature is completely broken
The Firecore team doesn’t treat this issue as a priority. They rather keep adding new features, fixing them along the way, ignoring the old ones as far as I can see. It stems the team is focused on user base wants and needs. Since we’re just a few, doesn’t matter how angry even, our group is too small to be taken seriously for now. That’s how I see it for the moment.
Firecore is trying to enlarge their user base by adding new cloud storage features, some intro skipping mechanisms, even media playback stats info, but ignore the current users that have spoken about problems about a feature that’s been working for so long until Apple introduced new OS’s, strangely the QA team hasn’t caught the issue but we did, strangely Devs don’t care but we do. It’s so frustrating that we’re being treated this way. But it is what it is. They can do that because we already paid. They know Apple will not refund your purchase so they don’t care. I’ve seen this happen a lot with companies. They do everything so you jump on board but once you are, you’re on your own. That’s how I see it. Prove me otherwise @james
We’ve been voicing this particular problem for almost half a year now.
New update released today and this bug has yet to be fixed. I’m so confused at this point. All other apps have proper PiP implementations with no bugs. A bug fix for this should take priority over new features.
To be honest. Any bugfixes should have priority over new features. But the honest truth is: you ain’t getting new customers with bugfixes, only new features ![]()
A set of improvements for PiP (and macOS 26.4) are now available in today’s 8.4.2 update. ![]()
