Infuse becoming a central app for iOS entertainment, IPTV feature would be a huge plus!!
sigh, they still wonât implement it and instead of being honest saying no they keep dangling the carrot saying add it to the suggestion pile. Reminds me of the developer of channels dvr who added the m3u playlist functionality but capped the limit at like 100 channels or whatever low amount it was restricted at and refuses to undo the limit with vague details why brushing it aside.
Did you click the like button.
Agree with you. Always the same answer. Click the like button. But nothing new is implemented. There are updates, but not many seem to be breaking new features. Too bad.
Still the best mediaplayer for TvOS though.
While you wait
The excellent IPTVX for Apple TV and IOS with iCloud syncing is your best bet
This means I should start developing my own IPTV client or competition to channels dvr
Channels is a nice piece of software. Only a little too expensive for my taste for the server. Tvheadend does the job fine too. Just looking for a better TvOS app for TvHeadend than the default app. Donât like its navigation. Not that intuitive.
Loading the channels and recordings in a nice like Infuse interface would be great.
I was thinking in replicating experience of tvMate. I was never able to set up tvheadend because I dont understand this software and I thought development is long gone. yes channels is too expensive and they are focusing only on USA, and their API is tricky at best. I started coding music client for tvos Jellyfin but when I lost computer without backup I would need to start from scratch. Jelllyfin is even worse in terms of client because each version of the server has own API built-in, and to makes thing worse their documentation of the API lacks important example of âAuthorizationâ and I cannot find old docs that explained this in more intuitive manners.
Currently I am unemployed and struggling mentally so having something to work on would be huge benefit for me but as I say I cannot do everything alone so help, bug tracking, suggestions would be most welcome as I am essentialy now trying to bring back memory about how to code in Swift
I donât have any experience with TvMate. Ever since I got a HDHomerun, I went for TVHeadend. It works fine for me and does not seem that difficult to me. You only have to figure out the network settings from your TV Provider to set it up.
The development does go a lot slower nowadays. But the GitHub repo is still updated (GitHub - tvheadend/tvheadend: Tvheadend is the leading TV streaming server for Linux with ATSC, DVB-C/C2, DVB-S/S2, DVB-T/T2, IPTV, SAT>IP and unix pipe input sources).
I donât know how Jellyfin exactly works with the API. I use it here at home though. Just running a docker container with Jellyfin in it. And with Infuse I can connect pretty easily to it. As long as it works, I donât care about the technical details too much.
Sorry to hear you are unemployed and struggling mentally. Hopefully you will get everything back on the road soon again.
Bug tracking is something you could do in Github I think. As soon as you have code and have some testers, you can post the code in GitHub. People can add bugs there, and from there you will be able to priority and categorize them. It would be a start.
Thank you for nice words and suggestions. Github can be nice for bug tracking but as for the code I would post code there. If I am developing app for AppStore my code is my own. You donât see source code of Infuse either. Therefore I can be free of thinking about licences. Otherwise I would end up like Jellyfin team that is too scared of implementing new features because they fear Emby would sue them.
I donât like docker. There was some add-ons to Channels DVR using Docker which is ridiculous because you must not run 1GB app containing like several hundreads MB OS just to run some few KB scripts so I usually tend to extract scrips from docker containers and launch them natively on my computer. I have instruction connections from Jellyfin the same as they gave Infuse team I need to find them and check if works. Of course when you connect with Infuse to Jellyfin you can only play movies, while I am trying to develop something for music
I wish you all Merry Christmas, let this be time for celebrating with your family, time of calm and rest from your ordinary activities, and letâs hope Santa Claus brings you surprises
Merry Christmas!
This would be an absolutelty excellent feature to have with Infuse!
James? Please? lol

Supporting M3U, is that a huge and difficult request to implement? Any thoughts?
I would love to have this feature, and I know some friends who would think about switching to Infuse if it had this feature.
Hello !
Can we have news on this ? Is this a no go ? Is it considered ? First post is from 2017⌠Thanks !
Does Infuse support IPTV playback?
Not currently but I moved your post to a suggestion thread requesting this feature.
Donât forget that you need to click the like button on the first post in this thread to show your support for this suggestion!
Done. First post âlikedâ.
Now is the time to support the operation of iptv services such as M3u playlist and xtream code to increase the power of the application and overall luxury.
