Listening/Connecting Enter PIN

Why does this “Enter PIN” screen keep popping up for no apparent reason. (See attached)
While watching it will randomly say “listening”, then it asks you for a pin to connect to some none existent Chromecast device.
How do you turn this annoying thing off.

This seems to be from a recent Google Cast firmware update. We’re looking into this issue and hope to have a fix soon.

This is the problem I was seeking an answer for because in the last few days I’ve seen this as well. The interesting thing is that there is no Chromecast device on my network wired or wireless.

It’s likely related to a nearby Chromecast, that may be attempting to connect over Bluetooth.

The upcoming 4.3 has a few improvements regarding how this is handled to help avoid this issue. :slight_smile:
