At the moment it is possible to change the view to list view in the settings menu. If changed it will be so for all folders. But persolally I would like some folders in list view while having the others in the beautiful photo view. Would this be a possible future improvement?

Hi there, just signed up to the subscription for Infuse as I was a huge fan of 4.x. One feature Iād love to see is if it is possible to offer list or thumbnail views for favourites or folders. Say my Movies folder is set to list view off, and another folder (say an obscure TV show with no metadata online for) can be set to list view on.
Would that be possible please?!?

James, since we were talking on the other post/thread and u asked more info on my suggestion, I was talking about an option to get list view per individual folder, as it used to be on ATV2 Black. It was perfect for me to distribute content on my TV for the whole family only by title, without having to create a folder.jpg to have it organized.
Hope we get this pretty soon, as many users embraced the suggestion.

Hi, if this is possible I have yet to figure it out so maybe?
Would very much like the ability to have different āViewsā" set for each Favorite folder?
ie I have a Photos folder that would be great to have in āList Viewā to be able to scroll through them all superfast but all the other folders are great with metadata artwork as default setting.
Perhaps a right click option on the folders the same way we can switch between local and online metadata if it can be done?
I have a lot of content that is able to be populated with Metadata, and there is a lot of content that doesnāt. I was hoping to see an option for list or thumbnail for favourites so for example Movies is in thumbnail and is in list view.
Is that possible? Please?

If using per-favorite than long press on the favorite adds a selection for list view.
my request might be a little off because Iām confused on āfavoritesā. the way iāve been adding media sources is to go settings ā network ā shares ā [source] ā +favorite. IOW, i donāt seem to actually be able to add a source unless i make it or its subdirs a favorite. So to me, favorite == source. iām not confident this is what a favorite really is, because the name implies otherwise.
but anyway ā¦
so if you leave the favorite with default setting āshowā, then from the home screen when you enter the favorite (as opposed to library or media browser), it should be in the list view if you have the global setting "on, or āper-favoriteā and have that specific favorite set for the list view. but other favorites will still use the normal browser.

the reason is because of inadequate local metadata support and extras handling in infuse. the list view browser is desirable to me over the way infuse handles local metadata; by setting local metadata on a āfavoriteā but not actually having any .nfo/.xml files, I can separate my shares that donāt play well with infuse metadata. using list view for me instead of .nfo/.xml is a better method. however i donāt want list view for everything!
another reason is, this seems like something that could be super quickly implemented in a patch (major.minor.patch) release. vs better local metadata handling which seems like it would be more work, or at least to date which firecore has seemed to be reluctant to address.
I have 5 different favourites folders at present 3 contain PG content and i would like these folders to have view formats of

TV Shows View. TV Show Main Title with shows main poster image icon view - which would open into the seasons view showing each season with season image opening to the episodes.

Movie View. Alphabetical sorted Movies with movie poster icons view and option to sort by Genre or Decade.

Private View. Alphabetical list of Main folders no images folder view - alphabetical view of subfolders, no images, alphabetical sorted list of videos with 10sec thumbnail - automatically prevent any at subfolder level down from displaying on main screen including previews and images.
Custom View. Allow options to be selected by user per favourite, collection. I navigate with favourites as i have 2 nas devices storing tv and movies and setting it up as collections will take a while.
Blanket views that apply across everything removes a lot of the great look/feel/design. Views per favourite and collection brings that look back whilst keeping NSFC NSFW stuff hidden.
