List of movie, tv or music files without graphics

I’m new here. Does infuse for the most current hardware/tvOS Apple TV have the ability to show a file/folder structure without graphics? Simply a file list sorted alphabetically? Numbered? I don’t need graphics.

You can switch to List View in Infuse > Settings > General for a different view, but this will still have artwork present.

Is there a way to show numbers next to the files? Or a way to input a number and go directly to the file? Or show a number on the screen that shows what number your selection is?

You can show it by file name by selecting " Show Filenames" in the settings menu.

Hi,
When I look at list view I see a view that would satisfy most people. An image of the movie poster, the name of the movie, and a description. That is very cool but it’s all extra stuff I don’t need. I also don’t see numbers next to files or on top of the screen. I’m using an iPad Air 4th Gen.
What we do is sit down to watch a movie, randomly select a number, and then go to that number and play whatever file/movie is at that spot. So to do this the way we are used to it and not be influenced by graphics or verbiage I would like the opposite of what the developers have spent a lot of time doing, which is to include graphics and a description. I would rather just see a directory style list. I have a few hundred movie files at any given time and the “blind” randomness is part of the fun for us. If that list had numbers for where the file sits in the list that would be great.
Is this at all possible with Vuse?
Oh…. I will be setting up an AppleTV in the next week and that is where I’d like to see what I’ve described above.

Thank You In Advance

If you want that randomness for choosing a film to watch, why not select one from the “Picks of the Day” on the front page, which is a random selection from your collection?

On iPad, you can browse and play videos with a bare bones list of files by navigating to: Infuse > Settings > Add Files > share name.

That is 95% of the way there!
No poster art or descriptions. A directory listing. Thanks for that. Is there a way to see numbers next to the files or at the top of the screen?

When I get to the AppleTV will this same strategy work?

I’ve messed with the AppleTV version and I have not been able to make a directory style list of files on my network share.
The fancy graphics and the colorful display of the media files is very desirable and even required by people in a product like this. For my needs a directory listing of the files is all that I need. Basically a list of files and the file sizes. That’s it. I am using this product because of the way that it handles a wide variety of file types, not the way it presents them as if this were a Blockbuster. Don’t get me wrong, Blockbusters was a great place. I don’t need or want the glitz. These references to the graphics is all in good humor since I know how much hard work it is to create a product like this.
Is there a way to get a simple file list in the AppleTV version?

Unfortunately, this is not possible at this time. Sorry.
