Updated my subscription to lifetime version in April and after my previous yearly subscription expired yesterday, it is not showing up on Apple TV as anything but expired. It was $146 CAD. Any thoughts on why? What did I actually pay for then? 
Since the lifetime license is a one-time purchase it will not actually appear in the Subscriptions area of the App Store.
However, you can locate a record of your lifetime license purchase by following the steps in this guide.
