I’ve read a few old posts on this issue. Yesterday I had an internet outage, so I watched a movie and a TV show using the UPnP share from my PC. This resulted in all of my shows being duplicated when viewing a series or movie. It seems the only way to stop this is to delete the upnp share from the saved shares section in infuse. And then add it again next time there’s a power cut. Is that right? It seems very clumsy.
Library features will not be available when connecting via UPnP or DLNA. If you want the library you’ll have to use one of the other protocols.
But that’s not what I said. I said the library is being duplicated when connecting via UPnP. So it looks like what you said about that not being possible on UPnP is not entirely correct. My question was about how to avoid the library duplication without deleting a upnp share. But instead you’ve just said that I can’t have a library via UPnP. Which is not the case
Can you deselect the UPnP share from the library settings?
I don’t think the UPnP share was ever in library settings. I’ve deleted the UPnP share now, because it was duplicating everything in the Plex library.
I’m pretty sure that when you add a share it’s automatically added to the library and has to be unchecked to keep it from being included in the Infuse library. Also not sure how having a plex share in the mix would affect things since I don’t use Plex, sorry.
Okay thanks, I re-added the share from my PC, and this time unticked the ‘add to library’ option. It’s a pity that these options are ticked by default, because all they’re going to do is create duplicate libraries with something like Plex Emby or jellyfin.
