For some reason, Infuse does not recognize Marvel’s agents of SHIELD. All seasons and episodes have their own .nfo file and every metadata option in Infuse is turned on, but the show appears only in Other section and not under TV shows. Maybe it’s a naming issue eg SHIELD or S.H.I.E.L.D.? In any case it should read the local .nfo files.
I have the same issue with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Try “marvels.agents.of.s.h.i.e.l.d s01e01.ext” for the file names.
The period after the d in shield is seen as a space with infuse so if you place the period there and then a space it sees a double space and that sometimes confuses things.
So either use only a period between the d and the season/episode numbers or only a space but not both.
That means every library reading that folder will get messed up. kodi, mysql, plex server, other apple tv’s etc. I’m willing to give it a try, but it will eventually have to be fixed on the infuse side. infuse should be able to handle these tvshow names.
What aristos said, please fix it at some point
Another approach, if you don’t want to alter filenames, is to use the Edit option in Infuse and search for the title manually.
Doing this for one episode will correct metadata for the entire series, and changes will sync via iCloud to all your other devices.
James always to the rescue! Thanks a lot man it worked. One question though. Since all the nfo files are already there, why Infuse needs to scrape episodes or movies online? I get it if a movie or episode file don’t have any nfo on the same folder for Infuse to search online but since the nfo is already there, why bother searching?
If you have XML/NFO files present, Infuse will use the info found there and only fetch online metadata to fill in any missing gaps.
However, in order for Movies/Shows to be displayed in the Library they will need to be matched to a title from TMDb/TheTVDb.
Ah, I see. Well thanks again, problem solved!
I was browsing the tv shows through folders. Now Im browsing through library and the problem is resolved. I didnt even have to rename anything.
