I’m wondering if anyone here has an LG C9. I have a question whether I should connect the ATV 4K to the C9 or the Denon AVR-X3600H in regards to possible issues with LPCM.
There is a thread @ OLED C9 - EDID / limitation regarding HDMI-eARC pass-through — LG Community Forum where a bug in the C9 prevents LPCM 8 channels to not pass-through, just the standard LPCM 2 channels.
I have content that is DTS-HD MA & TrueHD. I assume that if I connect the ATV 4K to the TV, the LPCM data from Infuse/ATV 4K, will not pass-through to the Denon. For now, I must connect the ATV 4K to the Denon.
Am I correct in my assumption?

If you have a receiver you really should push everything through there and not use eARC at all.
I do, the Denon AVR-X3600H.
Then run all your AV audio devices into the receiver first. Don’t even bother with the HDMI ports on the TV.
