This is very useful for users. Infuse directly playback content from those apps was always the 1st priority to me and other power users on iOS/iPadOS/tvOS/macOS.
It original a Streamio client for tvOS which can run most of the addons and evolve more with Trakt integrated and etc.
100% need this…
This would be a game changer. Apple tv is by far the best streaming box and infuse is the best player.
Currently, Infuse has some versatile options in place that allow for other apps to use Infuse’s playback features rather seamlessly - automatically starting playback in Infuse and then returning to the original app after playback has ended. Details on these can be found here.
A deeper integration would require some form of partnership and/or licensing agreement as Infuse components would likely need to be integrated into the 3rd party app. I suppose this scenario could make sense in the right situation with the right partner, and I would encourage any developers who are interested in this to reach out to discuss potential options.
Yes, the existing integrations are good but not perfect for all scenarios. Often I encounter issues with metadata and Trakt scrobbling which I don’t think is necessarily an Infuse issue, but having infuse built-in to the apps I use would solve that.
Great to hear there’s a possibility and openness though! Thanks for the reply. I’ll try reach out to the devs and encourage them to open talks. Here’s hoping
Yes, please do this….open up the aperture’s for this amazing player!
I think having the internal player sdk being open to all is a much better solution just require an infuse subscription to use the feature.
There might be a lot of apps like this which might come and go depending on App Store regulations . Making it open will be better for the community and your users.
This would be awesome to see! Hopefully this gets integrated
I’m excited about the future of streaming! Omni, vidi, madari. Sounds intriguing. Soon on Stremio too. A must-have for Apple TV would be incredible. The growing user base speaks for itself. I can’t wait to see what Infuse has to offer to these apps.
Exploring deeper integration options can unlock more exciting possibilities. Such integrations could streamline playback and enhance user experiences. A mutually beneficial partnership could lead to increased functionality and a broader reach of your app. We believe that integrating Infuse with Fusion or any of these apps can foster innovation and growth for everyone involved. We encourage further discussion to explore these potential benefits.
If you had an option for Infuse as a built in player , then if you have say a 7 day trial, by the time they’d finished that 7-Day trial most of them would be buying infuse on a full subscription.
