I watch a lot of movies, but I really dislike jump scares (both sudden loud noises and visual jump scares). Nowadays, there are websites that provide crowdsourced timestamps for jump scares. Some even offer subtitle files that warn viewers shortly before they occur. Examples include WhenJumpscare.com, WheresTheJump.com, NotScare.me, and DoesTheDogDie.com.
It would be great if Infuse had a feature that could provide jump scare warnings using a visual indicator or another unobtrusive method. The subtitle files offered by these services are not an ideal solution, since existing subtitle tracks are often already used for dialogue.
I realize this might be a niche request, but the fact that so many services exist around this shows that not everyone who enjoys horror movies also enjoys jump scares.
Maybe Infuse could overlay fingers on the screen and mute the audio?

This site is what I use, and it offers API access so Infuse can simply request it for events like jump scare
However, its not (totally) free. So, either user provide their own API like 建议增加显示弹幕功能 - Danmaku - All Around the World / 汉语 - Chinese - Firecore, or Infuse need to pay for it, which make it less likely to be implemented
Why stop at fingers? Let’s put that guy who always leaves the cinema at the worst possible moment to good use. 
Some kind of comment overlay at the top of the screen would actually be the perfect solution. The original subtitles would stay visible, but you’d simply get a textual warning at the top of the screen that a jump scare is imminent. For now, I’ll stick with editing the default subtitle file myself.
