Jellyfin set to Library instead of folders is not browsable

Hello, sorry if this is something obvious, or mentioned somewhere already (I could find anywhere). But I’m stuck with the following.

If in Jellyfin, Settings > Home, I enable:

Library Folders
Automatically group content from the following folders into views such as Movies, Music and TV

Then the Infuse client suddenly won’t see any of my Jellyfin content and says “empty folder”.

So I wonder, is that a requirement to have Jellyfin run in folder mode in order for it to be browsable from Infuse. Or am I missing something?

Ta

Thanks for the report!

We’ll look into this and see if we can track down what’s going on here.

Today’s 6.4.6 update has a number of changes in this area.

Can you give it a try and see if things are working better?

The issue still persists in 6.4.6 (3127) unfortunately.
Sorry I wasn’t specific enough with the repro steps. Let’s try once again:

In Jellyfin Dashboard:

  1. setup a library Movies A, with Folder A, containing movies
  2. setup another library Movies B, with Folder B, containing movies

In Jellyfin Web Client:

  1. Menu › User Settings › Home
  2. In Home Settings, at the very bottom to Library › Automatically group content from the following folders into views such as Movies, Music and TV
  3. And enable Movies A and Movies B folders
  4. Relaunch the web client

In Infuse:

  1. Navigate to the Jellyfin folder

  • :white_check_mark: Expected = Show Movies A and Movies B folders in this view
  • :red_circle: Actual = No folders are shown

Btw I have since found a workaround to this. Setting a Share name in each Library will show the folders as expected in Infuse. So maybe perhaps we can close this?
