Hi there,
New user, trying out infuse to manage my jellyfin server with my apple tv.
I have a fairly large library (about 20TB and growing quickly) so I thought it would be best to use direct mode. But what I am missing, and please excuse me if I have overlooked something, is a way to show my libraries on my main screen in infuse.
In jellyfin I have my movies, shows, and collections libraries which makes it a lot easier to browse when I am looking for something. But in infuse (in direct mode) I have to first go to the server and then to the library. Which in the mac app means I first have to go to files, then the server and then movies.
Is there a way to show movies (or any other library) on the home screen?
Yes, you can pin individual Jellyfin libraries to the Home Screen by adding favorites. The option for this can be found by navigating to Infuse > Settings > Shares > Jellyfin > Add Favorite(s).
You can also have lists of content pinned to the Home Screen. These can be added/edited by tapping the List icon which appears in the top right corner of the Home Screen.
Hi, thanks.
This works indeed for the apple tv app.
What I have noticed, however, is that in the macos app I can set libraries as a favorite, but they can’t be placed on the home screen. I have to then actually favorite a movie for it to be visible there. But the library won’t be shown. Unlike the apple tv app. Is there a reason why this difference in usecase exist?
