Hi all.
Hopefully someone can help me here because am at my witts end. Been Trying to do this all day without success.
Got my Apple Tv today with firmware 4.4.4. I tried to jailbreak it using seasonpass. Didn’t know at the time you couldn’t.
So i followed the guide how to jailbreak it using ifaith and total command. Went to install the new firmware but got error 1600.
Read somewhere to try another pc, that didnt work. So another guide said to go through the steps again using another pc.
To do that i needed to restore the apple tv to factory setting for it to be recognised. That updated it to 5.0.
When i opened ifaith it wouldnt go through the steps again because when it gets so far it errors and aborts the program because it doesnt support ios 5.0.
So i thought i would try and install the custom firmware that i made on my desktop , but this time install it off my laptop.
This time i got error 1604!
Once again for me to try anything else i had to restore it again. I found another guide to help bypass error 1600 to 1604 using the program IREB-r5
That i thought had worked because it took longer this time on i-tunes, But again right at the end it flagged up with error 1600.
I haven’t deleted anything so ive still got all the custom firmware i made.
Is there anyone out there who can help me in anyway? Am i missing something? Or is there anything else i can try to get around error 1600.
p.s Has anyone heard if they are working on a new seasonpass to jailbreak 5.0?
