Just completed the jailbreak for my atv2 and all seamed to be going well. However when i connected it to my television i just recieved an image showing a white cable and the itunes logo. I can’t do anything… Tried restoring the atv2 to its original firmware then reinstall jailbreak but without success. Someone please help me!

That is what I would expect to see if you have done the jailbreak, but now need to do a tethered boot.
To do a tethered boot you plug the power into the ATV and connect it via USB to your PC/Mac. Then start SeasonPass (not iTunes) and use the tethered boot option. Once that has been done you remove the USB cable and plug in the HDMI cable WITHOUT ever disconnecting the power.

Yes it will. Well the latest is 1.4.1.
hello. i`m running into the same issue but when i try to run the tether option i get “the appletv2,1_4.4.4_9A406a firmware is untethered and does not require this process!”. any suggestions? Thank you
nevermind, i figured it out. i actually used the latest version of seas0npass and didn’t change the version in the list so it automatically updated to 5.1 with that said i’m stuck with tethered jb for now. its not a deal breaker for me but aside from tethered vs untethered are there any other issues with having 5.1? xbmc and addons seem to be working fine for me so far…any other concerns?
