Hello,
I need to restore my ATV2 to factory settings, but when I’m in iTunes (version 11) when I click the restore button, I get a popup that says the “device could not be found”
There is no error number or anything…and it doesn’t make sense because ITunes sees the ATV2 otherwise I couldn’t hit the restor pe button.
I’m running atvFlash Black from about a year ago.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
Same problem here. iTunes 11 and can’t restore to factory defaults.

Went back to itunes 10.7 and everything worked okay.
EDIT: downloading the appropriate ipsw file and option+click the restore button in iTunes 11 – which allows you to select the ipsw to use – seems to have solved this issue for some…

Doing the “Option+Click” worked for me. The seas0npass will drop the IPSW file in your “Documents/username/tether” directory. This gave me the capability to restore. I’m back on Apple TV firmware!
