iTunes restore process completes but after ATV doesn't work

I’ve followed the instructions on the Jailbreaking 101 page and I get to Step 5 OK. Then when the restore process starts it won’t go any further unless I click the Restore button that comes up in iTunes. When I do that, Seas0nPass comes up with ‘iTunes restore script failed!, selecting IPSW in Finder…’ even though in iTunes it continues to do the restore process and at the end says it has restored successfully.

But when I plug the ATV back into the TV I get the big iTunes logo / USB cable graphic and have to do a normal restore of iTunes to get it working again.

After ITunes says successful you need to connect the power of the apple tv 2 and have micro USB plugged. Then open seasonpass and click on boot tethered

So you have to do both processes in a row? So when it comes up with ‘iTunes restore script failed!, selecting IPSW in Finder…’ click the Done button and then click on boot tethered?
