I found some similar questions on the forum but also on reddit etc. I’m trying out Infuse and other services and since I have same issue across each one, I will assume I’m doing something wrong.
I have connected Infuse to my Plex server. For testing purposes I added a few TV Shows, and Anime shows and they are checked in the Library tab in Infuse.
The TV Shows are showing perfectly and is looking good. However, my anime is not. It is showing up per episode in the movies category. While reading in other posts that anime should be appearing in TV Shows (not my preferable choice, but rather its own post but whatever), most of all, should appear as a group, not listing each episode.
I’d try naming the series folder
Oshi No Ko (2023)
and I’d put the files in season folders named
Season 01
then name the files
Oshi No Ko (2023) S01E01.mkv
On this series there are others with the same name but different years so adding the year may solve the issue and don’t forget to add the year to the series folder.

I’d do the same with Wind Breaker. Add the year to the series folder and the files. (2024) Also add the season folder (Season 01)
Did you consider not using your plex server and just connecting Infuse to your server via SMB or FTP? Infuse does a pretty good job all around and then you’d not need to maintain a seperate server app. I’ve run just Infuse for years and not needed any other software for our needs.
Skipping Plex and adding them directly into Infuse seems to work as intended without any renaming done. I don’t have any server at the moment, my computer is the server. Connecting it to Apple TV. After skipping Plex and using Infuse with my macbook as the server (SMB) and it works better, I’ll update the folder and naming structure as you mentioned. However, I have a question: Should the year of the show be from when it started? For example if there is a show that has 3 seasons, it has episodes for multiple years.
