Issues with Chromecasting from Infuse

I have an iPhone and have been streaming to my Chromecast (Ultra) for a while. Most of my newer content can’t be streamed when I’m in Infuse to my Chromecast.

I’m fairly certain that the content is supported by the Chromecast, but y’all are marking them as incompatible. Would really like to get this fixed so that I can continue to use Infuse and don’t have to look for another product that can work fully with this set up.

I’m running into issues running HEVC / H.265 type content. Most of it is 720p or 1080p, 24 or 30 fps. The Ultra supports these codecs (the first/second generation Chromecast and the Cheapcast, do not)

From their support page (See here: https://developers.google.com/cast/docs/media)

The Ultra supports the following:
H.264 High Profile up to level 4.2 (1080p/60fps)
VP8 (2160p/30fps)
HEVC / H.265 Main and Main10 Profiles up to level 5.1 (2160p/60fps)
VP9 Profile 0 and Profile 2 up to level 5.1 (2160p/60fps)

  • High Dynamic Range (HDR)
  • Dolby® Vision™
  • HDR10

From one example video that SHOULD work, but that doesn’t. Please note that I CAN view it on my Chromecast from the VLC iPhone App:
