Hello, for some reason I see more TV Shows have this issue, why when there is no name for episode it show like this:
Why it have number like 2.1, 2.2, 2.3… ?
2.1 = Season 2 Episode 1
2.2 = Season 2 Episode 2
and so on. That seems to be the default episode name when none has been entered on TMDB or the person who entered the info on TMDB entered that for episode name.
You could also join TMDB and following their contributor guidelines, add episode names which would then show up instead of the 2.1.
I check on amazon https://www.primevideo.com/detail/amzn1.dv.gti.e6dbc525-c158-4e52-90bd-0c3249ae5386 and it show all episode like that: Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3
Why infuse dont disply like that “Episode 1” “Episode 2” why it need to show 2.1, 2.2?
Just a guess but to take up as little screen real estate as possible so it doesn’t block too much of the artwork?
Again, if you want to see different you can join TMDB and following their guidelines, add episode names.
It show here ‘Season 2’ above
Also i check now on TMDB link https://www.thetvdb.com/series/the-rig-2021/seasons/official/2#episodes
It show correct: Episode 1, Episode 2…
There is nothing i can make better in TMDB everything show correct, problem is infuse that show 2.1,2.2 etc…
You’re showing TVDB not TMDB.
What version number of Infuse are you using and what tvOS?
I also check there The Rig: Season 2 (2025) — The Movie Database (TMDB) and same thing it is correct
We posted at the same time. could you answer this?
Are you using a media server like Emby, Jellyfin, or Plex?
If so, can you check to see how the episode names appear there?
tvOS 18.2
Infuse Pro 8.0.8
Dont understand why if infuse use TMDB?
If you are using Plex, then all of the details will come from there, not from TMDB
Is there way in Plex to show correct episode names? like episode 1, episode 2…
I cant find solution on internet
If you click the pencil (edit) button on that screen in Plex you can change the episode name to whatever you would like.
Yes i see that but not sure what plex do to rename in first place to this “Episode #2.3”
When I have episode name it is good, but when original episode dont have name it display like that “Episode #2.3”
I see I can change agent to TMDB but not sure what about intros detection and other dectections as well will that work good.
This is how the Episodes are named on IMDB, check your plex agents and see where your metadata is being pulled from.
Also check any .NFO files that are accompanied with the meta file.
Yes, you are correct.
I see this fix my issue when I change agent from ‘Plex series’ to TVDB
but TVDB will in future no longer supported
You may want to set TMDB since that’s what Infuse uses.
