Issue with 5.3 Update

I have noticed an issue with the 5.3 update. I have Infuse setup to grab my files from Google Drive. I have favorited a TV folder and Movies folder to show up when I open the app. That all works fine. When I go into the TV folder I have the file structure set up as follows:

Sherlock → Season 1 → Files
same nested season folders for the rest of the seasons as well.

Everything used to work great! I would go into the TV folder. Click on the poster art for the tv show. Then each folder for each season would auto grab the season metadata and i would click on it and be able to choose the files I wanted to watch for that season.

As of updating to 5.3 the following happens. I click on the tv show I want, It shows folders for each season, I then have to click on those folders to go one more step and then it displays cover art for the season.

5.3 doesn’t make us store ALL episodes in the same root folder does it? Or is this a known issue?

We’ve modified how Infuse handles folders/files stored in Google Drive as many people were seeing severe performance issues. Google Drive handles folders a little bit differently, and as a result Infuses isn’t able to efficiently scan deep within folders to display artwork like we had before.

Fortunately, we are working on a new Library option for iOS (similar to what we have on Apple TV) which will restore the series/season artwork while browsing.

If we were not having issues with Google drive and Infuse… Is their any way to go back to 5.2?

If you have a copy backed up on your computer you can re-install via iTunes.

Sorry for the inconvenience. :frowning:

Thank you. I appreciate the help.

FYI, we rolled back this change in 5.3.1 which was released today.

Enjoy!

thank you so much for the heads up! Keep up the great work!
