I’m having some sync issues with the Apple TV app (paid Pro version). My media is stored on an external HDD connected to my MacBook. The MacBook also acts as a Plex server. I have linked Infuse with my Plex server - when watching things it works brilliantly - even better than the Plex app itself. But when changing or removing files, I get a lot of issues.
When I replace an old file for a new one, the files are not syncing and are just throwing up errors.
At the moment I have a tv series, and one of the episodes had an audio issue and one a colour/encoding issue. I selected to delete the files from Infuse on the Apple TV and I then went and got a new version of the files, added them to my library and to the Plex server, but it won’t play on Infuse. The app just keeps throwing up an error (503) message as it seems to be looking for the original files, and not syncing or taking in to account the new files that has been uploaded. As it stands, I can’t find any way to resolve this issue, and, therefore, can’t watch the rest of the show that I’ve just started.
I have refreshed all data in Infuse every-which-way. I have removed the Plex server and re-added it and let everything sync all over again - the same two files/episodes that were changed still throw up 503 errors while everything else plays fine. I have also set up file sharing (SMB) to try and access the files directly over LAN, but the Infuse app refuses to access anything and says the username/password are incorrect (when they aren’t).
The newly added media files play absolutely fine locally on the device, in Plex (on device and Apple TV) and via any other media player I load them in.
Any advice on what I could try next would be greatly appreciated!
