Hi Firecore Team,
I’m writing to report a recurring issue with how Infuse selects localized artwork (Posters and Logos) from TMDB.
While text metadata usually follows the settings correctly, the Artwork (Posters/Logos) is a major “disaster area.” Despite my settings being set to “Simplified Chinese (Mainland China)”, Infuse frequently fetches assets tagged as zh-TW or zh-HK (Traditional Chinese) instead of the available zh-CN versions.
As shown in the attached example for the movie The Electric State:
-
TMDB has both a zh-HK (Traditional) and a zh-CN (Simplified) poster.
-
Even with Simplified Chinese selected in Infuse, the app often prioritizes or defaults to the Traditional Chinese version.
This significantly impacts the visual consistency of the library for users in the zh-CN region. Could you please refine the fetching logic to ensure that if a zh-CN localized image exists on TMDB, it is given strict priority over other Chinese variants?
Thank you!
Firecore
