But aren’t you the hateful little man? Its hardly overpriced, zotac makes a comparable model for 302 at best buy without an OS. Im offering it to all fire core members for $275.
Provided your playing them from a external hd or over your network they run flawlessly, the included hard drive is only 8gb 
You can get a very nice Zotac with a built in 250GB hard drive and a Bluray disc drive for 249 w/free shipping. Way better that that POS you are tring to scam people with.

The XIOS is the device that the XBMC team uses to do all the android testing and i believe all the linux testing for XBMC. I dont have one but i have many people who i know who have xbmc on it with linux and love it. they say it runs great. I have an Apple tv 2 and i like it with xbmc. I use it allot for streaming my slacker radio from my iphone to ATV 2 through my stereo. And other airplay things. But i i do want a XIOS to put when we get our house this summer and i have another big screen so i can have XBMC hooked up there.
Apple makes an excellent product. They sell millions of them. I think allot of people dont even know about xbmc who buy an Apple tv. Its a great product for what it is designed to do. I am amazed they ever allowed Hulu on there and now HBO to go because to me it interferes with their business model. But allot of people are happy with what the Apple tv 3 does. We are all unhappy because we know that with XBMC the ATV becomes even better.
However Although if your running mountain lion you can use XBMC on APple tv 3. Mountain lion has built in support for airplay. Just install XBMC on your mountain lion imac or macbook or macbook pro or whatever you have and you can mirror your desktop xbmc to the APple tv 3. If your using a PC you can use Airparrot which will do the same thing.
I remember reading about another program to do it from a mac rather then just the built in but i cant remember now what its called. So if you have an ATV 3 its not a total loss.
Not trying to spam or hijack a tread here just wanted to provide some info it seems people didnt know.
The RAW device seems way expensive. The XIOS is $99 and there are several other devices out there that run very good or almost as good for $100 or less. Quit trying to sell your way over priced product
Apple does sell millions of them, 2 million apple tv 2’s, sound low? wikipedia it. it’s one of their worst projects. It’s alright product and your right it can be better. My question is why downgrade your self to an xios, i think everyone here can agree it is inferior to an apple tv 2… really this is an argument of price. Don’t get me wrong it is alright to be a price driven consumer, but realize that it comes at a cost. Lower prices means lower quality or bulk production. 2 million units is relatively a lot of units but isn’t staggering enough to drop prices significantly. Now apple controls their production and uses similar parts i know so it keeps costs down but from the perspective of xios that is really the pie they are looking at… 2 million units would be a huge number of sales. Keep in mind product costs are only part of the equation, they have marketing, employees, warranties, packaging, etc.
i often hear comparisons which, pardon the pun, is like comparing apples to oranges. I have a Dell tower in my closet at home with a 100gb hard drive and blue ray player… it is 7 years old, it’s worth maybe $100 if i could find someone to even buy it. Mentioning what a unit can do or how much hard drive or blue ray player is irrelevant to what it’s worth. By your above standards dell should just shut down shop along with toshiba, lenovo, samsung, etc. because end of day it is more expensive than an xios or apple tv or android tablet. It is actually very reasonably priced when you compare it to products of the same caliber. This would be like comparing a honda civic base model against a fully loaded m5, yes both will get you where you want to go, yes both have seats, the honda will even boast more cup holders. When you compare my unit to units in the same class it is a the low end of the price scale. I can guarantee you the xios runs no where near as well as my unit.
Yes you are right you can airplay or mirror from your mac to your apple 3, so why even waste your time here and hope for a jail break? because people don’t want to go to their computer and mirror, people want a clean easy to use system for their kids/wife/parents/etc. Some of us don’t mind eating at mcdonalds but you don’t take your first date there… well you can but let me tell you how that ends, your not getting laid. You can even skip the mirroring nightmare and just run a hdmi cable to your tv, but its not a clean look. its not wrong, its preference. So for $275 you get a amd e-350 dual core, 8gb ssd and 2gb 1333 ram. You can increase the ssd, add peripherals, use it as a computer, send and receive emails, open documents, play games, etc. Can you do all that with a xios? no. As a micro computer its a good price and well over powered for a htpc but i personally rather run overpowered with room to grow than maxing out and being left wanting.
Now keep in mind if your all as tech savvy as you sound i also offer a barebones unit for $180. At that price you can’t go wrong. I can’t go to my local computer store and build a htpc for that price, the motherboard alone will nearly cost that much, then you need a case, power, etc. There is nothing wrong with my unit, it uses great parts and is far from a POS.

what scam? why are you so angry? I’ve read all your other posts, you seem just to come on here to hate others, yet surprisingly when you ask stupid questions no one attacks you. you add nothing of value to this community but thank you for your unwanted opinion.
Just to clarify it is a scam. Team evasi0n has stated that the evasi0n jailbreak will not support the Apple TV 3. If group made of the most brilliant minds in the jailbreaking community cannot do it then it is a very small chance that a no name company can.
